Breaking new ground since 1968, our storied Clarks Originals Wallabee™ is a cultural icon, favoured by hip-hop royalty, britpop legends and everyday tastemakers.

We’re marking the second annual Wallabee™ Day on April 26th, celebrating the Somerset-born shoe that’s found a home-from-home wherever it’s touched down: from Jamaica’s dance halls to the football terraces of the UK.

In tribute to the silhouette’s global status, we’ve created imagery which references the true story of its arrival at John F. Kennedy airport back in the ‘70s, when an influx of Wallabees saw airport customs mistakenly scramble to cage over 4000 wild animals.

Forever disruptive, forever an icon, the Wallabee™ needs no introduction these days,  living up to its status as a household name with each decade it’s spent at the top.
